Privacy Policy

Summary

Cleanly Print converts public webpages into documents. We do not require an account, we do not store the PDFs we generate, and we do not sell personal data.

URLs and page content

When you submit a URL, our servers fetch that public page and extract its content to build your document. The extracted content of a public page may be kept in server memory for up to 10 minutes, identified only by a cryptographic hash of the URL, so repeated conversions are faster. It is not written to disk, not indexed and not associated with you.

Generated documents

Your edits happen in your browser. When you download a PDF, the document is sent to our server, rendered and returned immediately. We do not keep a copy, and we never create public links to your documents.

Data stored in your browser

The document you're editing is kept in your browser's session storage so a page refresh doesn't lose your work; it disappears when you close the tab. Your layout preferences (paper size, text size, etc.) are stored locally on your device.

Technical logs

Our infrastructure keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, time and error codes) for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting. We do not log the URLs you convert.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics to count events such as “conversion succeeded” or “PDF downloaded”. These events never include the URL or content of the pages you convert.

Advertising

The free version may display ads from third-party networks. Where required, we ask for your consent before ad partners use cookies or similar technologies. You can change your choice at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them.
