Guides

Convert a webpage

Paste a URL on the homepage and click “Create Clean PDF”. Cleanly Print loads the page, extracts the main content and opens the editor.

Remove elements

In the editor, hover or tap any paragraph, image, list or table and click “Remove”. On headings, “Remove section” removes everything up to the next heading of the same level. Use “Undo” or “Show removed” to bring things back.

Change the layout

Use the settings panel to choose Letter or A4, portrait or landscape, text size, margins and style, and to show or hide images, author, date, publication name, source URL and page numbers.

Download or print

“Download PDF” creates a high-quality PDF with clickable links. “Print” opens your system print dialog with the clean document.

When a page doesn't convert

  • Pages behind a login, paywall or bot protection can't be accessed. Cleanly Print never tries to bypass access controls.
  • If the result looks incomplete, make sure the URL points to the article itself and not to a homepage or list of links.
  • Very slow or very large pages may time out. Try again, or try a lighter version of the page (for example the AMP or print version).
  • Web applications (dashboards, maps, editors) are not documents and usually can't be converted.

Frequently asked questions

What is Cleanly Print?

Cleanly Print is a free online tool that turns any public webpage into a clean, printable document. It removes ads, menus and other clutter, lets you edit the result, and exports it as a PDF or sends it to your printer.

Is Cleanly Print free?

Yes. Converting webpages to PDF and printing them is free and does not require an account. A paid Pro plan with extra features such as AI summaries, translation and combining URLs is planned.

How do I print a webpage without ads?

Paste the webpage URL into Cleanly Print and click “Create Clean PDF”. Ads, banners and pop-ups are removed automatically. Then click “Print” to open your printer dialog with the clean version.

How do I convert a webpage to PDF?

Copy the page address, paste it into the field on the Cleanly Print homepage and click “Create Clean PDF”. Review the preview, adjust it if needed, then click “Download PDF”.

Can Cleanly Print remove ads?

Yes. Cleanly Print detects and removes advertising, cookie banners, newsletter prompts, social sharing widgets, sidebars and recommendation blocks. You can also remove anything that remains with one click.

Can Cleanly Print save articles as PDF?

Yes. News articles, blog posts, recipes, tutorials and documentation pages work especially well. The title, author, publication date and source URL are kept at the top of the document.

Can Cleanly Print translate webpages?

Not yet. Translation before export is on our roadmap and will keep headings, lists, tables and images intact. Today, Cleanly Print keeps the page in its original language.

Does Cleanly Print work on mobile?

Yes. The site works on phones and tablets. You can paste a link, remove elements by tapping them, and download or share the PDF.

Is Cleanly Print safe?

Yes. Cleanly Print only opens public webpages, never runs page scripts in your browser, and sanitizes all content. You don't need to install anything or create an account.

Does Cleanly Print store my webpages?

No. Pages are processed in memory to create your document. A public page may be cached anonymously for up to 10 minutes to speed up repeated conversions. PDFs are generated on demand and never stored or shared.

Combining several URLs into one document, with a table of contents, is coming soon. For now, Cleanly Print converts one webpage at a time.

Does Cleanly Print support A4 and Letter?

Yes. You can choose Letter or A4, portrait or landscape, as well as text size and margins before downloading or printing.
